Nacho Casinacho

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Nacho Casinacho is one of those arcade games that looks silly at first glance and then quietly eats your afternoon. The core loop is snappy: you tap and swipe to keep a run going, timing your moves against a rhythm the game slowly speeds up. Nothing about it is complicated, which is exactly why it works on a phone.

Controls are all touch and they feel right. There's a satisfying little bounce to every successful input, and the difficulty ramps in a way that keeps pushing you for 'one more try.' We especially liked how readable the screen stays even when things get busy — colors and shapes never blur together into a mess.

After a few days we were still coming back to beat our own runs. It's not a deep game and it doesn't pretend to be, but as a pick-up-and-play arcade session it nails the feeling it's going for.
