About

Pocket Lap started as a group chat where four friends kept sending each other links to games. Half of them were forgettable, but every now and then something clicked and we couldn't stop playing on the bus. Eventually we decided to write it all down properly.

We are not a big media company. There is a small editorial team, a couple of second-hand test phones, and a shared spreadsheet where we track what we've finished. Every game gets played for at least a few hours before anyone writes a word about it.

We pick games mostly by curiosity. Sometimes a reader tips us off, sometimes we scroll the charts, sometimes we just like the look of a trailer. What we don't do is review something we haven't actually installed and touched with our own thumbs.

The goal is simple: help you spend your time on games that respect it. If something feels cheap or annoying, we'll say so.
